Although solo travel is the most common choice for Vietnamese visitors to Taiwan, Mr. Nguyen was planning a private group experience for 20 guests. After the tour, our guide shared a touching detail about this group: these twenty friends all immigrated from Vietnam to Texas, USA, about 40 to 50 years ago.
Having built successful lives in the United States from the ground up, they have remained incredibly close-knit over the years. To celebrate their bond and their hard-earned success, they made a pact to travel the world together four times every year. Seeing them laugh and take photos among the tea trees, it was clear that their unity is their greatest strength.
