Magnolia Garden

Walking down the trail from Sister Ponds, you will come upon an open space with Magnolia flowers blossoming. The Magnolias in Alishan flower in all seasons. Although most Magnolia flowers here are planted by hand, it is an indicator to see if a forest is healthy. Certainly not lacking in variety, you will find Southern Magnolias, Lily Magnolias, Saucer Magnolias, and Lotus Magnolias well represented here.

Other than Magnolias, there are also many Yoshino Cherry (sakura) trees here. The best part about this area is that there is a minimum amount of man made structures here. You will certainly appreciate the peaceful environment and you will be even happier if you particularly like taking flower pictures.
