Located in the Jiaoxi Township of Yilan, Hello Peter is a Harry Potter-inspired restaurant owned by the same group that runs Shanzhai Monster Village, where diners are surrounded by (seemingly) monstrous figures in a Japanese setting. Before entering, you will be greeted by a giant Voldemort-looking monster, who welcomes you to embark on an adventure into the medieval world of magic. Homemade bread, Italian cuisine and even butter beer will grace your long dining table in the Great Hall at Hogwarts.
Inspired by the rail track adjacent to the location, the owner decided to turn the restaurant into a train, with several telephone booths surrounding it — they even serve free coffee in these red telephone boxes. Of course, the restaurant also has a totally magical menu, allowing diners to feast like a true witch or wizard at Harry Potter World. A must-try at Hello Peter is the butter beer, a popular wizarding beverage described as tasting "a little bit like less-sickly butterscotch." If you are not planning to have a proper meal here, the homemade chocolate baguette, crisp on the outside, soft and bouncy in the center, will make a great alternative.
