Baishawei Wharf

Baishawei Wharf is the main port for tourists coming and going to Xiaoliuqiu, making it the first stop for tourists on the island. Near the wharf, there is a tourist center selling ferry tickets between Pingtung’s Donggang Port (東港) and Baishawei Wharf. Also sold here are tickets for snorkelling. The architecture is special, and you can’t miss seeing the rainbow colored sail-like building on the pier, although if you come at night, the view will have a different atmosphere altogether. Many businesses have opened here, such as restaurants, souvenir shops, scooter rental depots and Bed & Breakfast accommodation. To the west of the wharf, you can see the most important landmark of Xiaoliuqiu, Vase Rock, and to the east, Chungau Beach which connects to other beaches on the island. You can also look back to the high mountains on the island of Taiwan from here. The wharf of Taiwan’s only coral island is the starting place for unlimited possibilities on Xiaoliuqiu.
