Yuan Sen Garden

As a pollution-free, natural environment in eastern Taiwan, Taitung has long been a leading heavyweight in herbs ever since the Japanese Colonial Era. Yuan Sen Garden located in Beinan Township even adds charm to the crowning glory of the city. Covering a vast area of almost 5,000m2, the botanical garden is home to more than two hundred native herbal plants and an all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurant with all the healthy veggies available. The landscape walkway in the middle offers a fantastic view of the distant Pacific Ocean as well as the pasture where kids get to meet an array of many different animals.

As the admission fee is applied, it is highly recommended to purchase the meal voucher instead, which allows you to dine at the restaurant and to explore the botanical garden itself for free. All the plants are identified with signs which provide visitors with information about their names and functions. Regular tours are offered to give visitors of all ages a first-hand look at the plant collection of the botanical garden. The restaurant serves all-day buffet and set meals to satisfy your hunger pangs with an impressive choice of fresh veggies, meat and assorted ingredients. After the meal, you may also enjoy the dessert and fruits on the lookout, where the view is no less than spectacular.
