Sweet Olive Tree

Sweet Olive Tree is a dessert shop located, unsurprisingly, under a sweet olive tree. In the shade of this old luxuriant sweet olive tree, you will find wooden tables and chairs that are reminiscent of everyone’s primary school. By the roadside, there stands a rustic bus stop, where Totoro is waiting for the Catbus to arrive. Isn’t it lovely to have a bowl of sweet soup or shaved ice in such an adorable setting?

Decide if you want to go for sweet soup or shaved ice, and top your bowl with four different freshly prepared ingredients such as tofu pudding, red beans, sweet yams, starch jellies, tapioca balls, aiyu jellies, and many more — and that costs you only TWD 40. What’s worth noting is that there are four kinds of syrup and sweet condiments available (free of charge!) to adjust the taste to your liking. We recommend you to sprinkle some plum powder on your sweet soup to bring out the sharp sourness, and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt or chocolate jimmies on your shaved ice, adding to the colorful complexity of the bowl.
