It is not a typical attraction for sightseeing, but a humble ruined tile factory on the side of County Highway 101 (101縣道). Since it is a private property, entry without authorization is not permitted. If you gain a chance to enter the factory, the mark of history from its dilapidated roof and vined wall shall give you a worthwhile tour. In the factory building closest to the road, you will see a shelf for holding time recorder next to the stair, broken oil drums in utility room, rusty wheelchair, sofa being splashed in white paint, graffitied red brick wall, fan no longer able to rotate, and tottering scaffold overhead. By the time reaching the second building, you can find appliances and raw materials for tile manufacturing at basement. Due to relatively higher humidity, the stink is more intolerable than elsewhere. The last building is the storage space of manufactured tiles when the factory was still operating. Because of holey roof and lacking of sunlight, water easily ponds on the floor and rots the tile-wrapping paper. Perhaps the site is too far from city or the wall is not plain enough, the place does not be graffitied as many as usual ruined structures. We hope its current condition will not be further deteriorated and be kept in its golden era.
