Erziping

Erziping (二子坪), a nearby suburb not far from the center of Taipei, is unexpectedly home to such a beautiful scenic spot. As you enter the Erziping (二子坪) Recreation Area within the Yangmingshan National Park, it feels like entering a hidden paradise with its expansive views and a small ecological pond. Walking from the Erziping (二子坪) parking lot into the grassy area, the atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for adults, children, and even dog walking.

During quieter times, you can listen to soothing music and enjoy a picnic with family and friends in the pavilion area. The trails are well-maintained and offer views of high mountain trees and plants, with the added convenience of barrier-free facilities.

The only inconvenience is the transportation to this area, as the three parking lots are often full even on weekdays. For public transportation, you can take the MRT to Jiantan or Shilin Station, then transfer to a bus to Yangmingshan Bus Terminal, followed by a transfer to the 108 minibus to Erziping (二子坪). Be prepared for long queues on weekends!
