Almost every traditional breakfast stores in Taiwan uses the name of either Sihai (四海) or Yonghe (永和). Though they are not directly connected, once you see the name, you know they likely serve shaobing (燒餅), youtiao (油條), danbing (蛋餅), soy milk, baozi (包子), etc. It is hard to find a delicious traditional breakfast in Taipei because the high rental cost makes it impossible to reach a profitable margin with low price. Another reason is that Taipei, a frontline city being westernized, loses its traditional techniques faster than others.
A long queue is always be found outside Sihai Soy Milk King near the Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei (MOCA Taipei) every morning. Of course, the queue could not be put on a par with the one of Fuhang Soy Milk (阜杭豆漿). The xiaolongbao (小籠包) is above average, but shaobing, youtiao and danbing are nothing surprising and a bit oily, making they might not see fit for people putting effort on health management.
