Sichuan Restaurant

Students of National Chengchi University would visit Sichun Restaurant for countless time during their study. This restaurant does not provide lots of seats (which is only available for about 50 customers at once). However, it is the best nearby option for a group gathering, so students and professors choose here for dinner meeting. The environment is indeed not comfortable and lack of decoration. What you could find here is owner with Sichun accent and nimble auntie waitress. The dishes are oily but great in taste. For a group of 10, each of them might only cost TWD200 for a meal. Such reasonable price keeps the popularity of this restaurant for more than 15 years. The best-selling dish is pineapple prawns (鳳梨蝦球). Unlike the usual restaurants that deep-frying pineapple and prawns at the same time, both ingredient are treated separately. The crisp golden prawns and cut pineapple bring out an excellent combination of cold and hot, sweet and salty at once. The aftertaste is truly memorable.
