Nanmen Park of NTM

This building with history of more than a century is the base of camphor and opium manufacturing amongst north Taiwan in Japanese Colonial Era. Nowadays, the factory is made over into a museum, showing the process of producing camphor and the importance of camphor to Asian countries. The second floor exhibits food-related issues and allows children to play with toy food sitting in front of dinner plates. The building itself suits well as a background of photo-taking, and children could have fun here, but grown-ups might find a bit boring after finishing their tour in 30 minutes. Though it is named as a part of National Taiwan Museum (國立臺灣博物館), the place is not close to the main museum and Taiwan Land Bank Exhibition Hall (土地銀行展示館), as it is at the next MRT station and more near to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
