Miacucina

Vegetarian food can often be blindly stereotyped as monotonous, but this Italian style restaurant at Neihu Science Park offers a taste that you are guaranteed to fall in love with. The thin-crust and thick cheesy topping pizza served here is of a distinctly different style to that most often encountered in Taiwan. The pizza here is generously adorned with colorful fruits and vegetables and unique sauces, creating a flavour that is refreshing and tasty. And this place is not like many other Italian restaurants in Taiwan, where you don’t feel full after finishing your meal. Instead, the serving sizes here are adequate. One of the most satisfying things about eating here, however, has got to be the fact that you can directly see the chef placing the ingredients onto the dough, before feeding the uncooked pizza into the huge oven. Watching this spectacle, you definitely get the sense that your pizza is as homemade as it gets. The interior decorations of the restaurant are suited to the building’s high ceiling and floor within floor design. Indeed, accompanied by the large door and low windows, the store seems spacious. But when you begin eating, you might find that the distance between the tables seems narrower than you thought, and the chairs are not comfortable to sit on for long. In short, this restaurant is great for a hearty Italian meal, but not ideal if you are looking for a slow evening of chatting.
