Without guidance of locals, strangers are nearly impossible to find this homey restaurant hiding among residential area. Apart from a few traditional Chinese fauteuils and screen, not much excessive decoration could be seen here. The slight contrary of East and West could not hinder customers’ expectation on the coming delicacies. This restaurant has no standard menu or waiters, as the chef will decide what to serve depending on ingredients purchased on that day. With sacrifice of selection freedom, you will have dishes using the freshest ingredients and be away from trouble of hesitation. Once you are seated in this restaurant, you could just feel free to chit-chat with your companions while waiting the meal serving up. As the dishes are random everyday, it is hard to make a comment. However, one-third of the dishes we had the day visited were not seen at any other restaurant except here and the taste suits Taiwanese preference, which is believed not largely differentiate from Singapore, Hong Kong and Macau. Additional order could be made when customers find they are not yet satisfied (the dishes are ensured not to be repeated but still unknown until dished-up). the bosslady would calculate the bill accounting to the quantity customers had ordered.
In recent years, menu-less restaurants are growing popular among Taiwan, but most we could find in scenic area palely uphold their menu-less element without provision of creative cuisines and selection of ingredients. This restaurant is the first of its kind we have approved for its quality.
