95 Peak

At the entrance of Songshan Cihui Temple, you may choose to have a brief hike to Tiger Mountain from the right or be determined to climb strenuously to the 95 Peak from the left. Along the way, you see a pavilion, two toilets, two small temples, two places for rest, and two large rocks. Moreover, the landmark Taipei 101 occasionally reveals itself on the right through the gaps between the leaves. After the highest point, move forward about 200 meters and reach a place for rest, where you can have a nearly 180-degree panoramic view to see the faces of Taipei distinctly. Songshan Airport and Miramar Ferris Wheel are now crouching at your feet, and you can even identify the Grand Hotel at the foot of distant Yangmingshan. If it's a sunny day, Tamsui's Guanyinshan and even the mouth of Tamsui River will all appear in your vision. Sit here to cool off and rest, watch the planes taking off one after another, and have a cup of tea before making up your mind to go downhill or proceed to Elephant Mountain. But it takes about two hours in a round trip to take in all this beauty. Make sure you have enough physical strength before setting out.
