Many restaurants in Taiwan are exaggeratedly advertised by bloggers and mass media, which you will never be able to dine there without reservation.Oppositely, some restaurants face hardship even if their menu are a real bargain, simply because of their low internet exposure without a proper marketing strategy. We could come up with countless examples of former situation, while being less familiar with the latter. This Italian restaurant is at MRT Zhengxiao Xinsheng Station and around Huashan 1914 Creative Park and Guanghua Digital Plaza. Though lack of promotion and customers, its meal will makes you irresistible raving regarding its taste.
Based on observation of its appearance and quotation of staff, Taco Loco was opened two years ago, but the operation team changed in late 2014 and the interior was once redecorated. The wall in bright red and black and tables out of both wood and stone bring up an overly strong visual contrast. The background music they adapted is either electronic music or pop, which seems to unfit to the typical impression of Italian restaurant. Waiters are a bit overly hospitable on suggesting their specialty and asking for feedback throughout their meal. All these external circumstances have once drawn us back with a question: would it be a meal we regret to pick for a while? The wonder then disappeared when the featuring appetizer – profiterole served with crab meat and cream sauce, which sent out a strong smell of cream - was dished up. Having a bite on the just-roasted crisp bread applied with stuffing, there is none but a thought shared among all people around the table: ‘OH MY GOD it is really good’. The fried noodle with cuttlefish is little spicy but not too oily; the pig rib served with tomato spaghetti is unexpectedly matching while the combination brings a new feeling with this normal tomato spaghetti. The finishing dessert is notably above average as well. Comparing to the high dining price in Huashan 1914 Creative Park, it is extremely cost-effective here.
