Moooon River Café & Books is a combined bookstore and café which has replaced the well-known classical restaurant chain Rose House. The long operation of the prior restaurant is still hinted at by the baroque style decoration that is still visible in the building today. As soon as you walk into this bookstore, you will see the baroque pillars and hanging chandeliers, which will give you the illusion of walking into an old European library. Because of a clever use of natural lighting, and the large mirrors placed on the four walls of the store, the space feels very bright and pleasant inside. Once seated, the waiter will hand you a world-famous novel. Don’t be confused! You are not being asked to read a novel in English before you get to eat anything. In fact, the menu is written on the pages inside. It will already be apparent to you that this is a wonderful place to spend a leisurely afternoon with some books in a pleasant environment. Best of all, Moooon River Café & Books also offers a large range of drinks and snacks, so while you are on your adventure of knowledge, you can also satisfy the longings of your taste-buds!
