Taichung Creative and Cultural Park

Converted from the old Taichung Winery complex, Taichung Creative and Cultural Park is the best-preserved ruins of a winery in Taiwan that dates back to 1916. In 2002, it became a cultural hub where the former warehouses are open to the public as a library, exhibition spaces and performance venues. Even music and dance practice rooms are provided. The area where twenty colorful casks on display are graced with many different fun or quirky themes is a highlight very worth visiting.

Weishui Building is the tallest structure within the whole complex and hosts themed exhibitions from time to time. The space on the second floor has been turned into a vibrant library that visitors can use for some quiet reading and research. The former storage warehouse, now known as Yatang Hall, is a highly raved hotspot where the most popular and acclaimed exhibitions usually take place. Besides all the cultural aspects, you will also have a chance to peek into the glorious past of this old winery by learning about winemaking as well as its history in the former fermentation room currently dedicated solely to wine. A wealth of wine products such as the delightfully refreshing wine popsicles are also available here — never leave without one!
