Xinshe District is well-known for its mushrooms, but little known for its fruit picking opportunities. Yet, Xinfeng Farm provides a wonderful setting for a genuine fruit picking experience that kids and adults alike will enjoy. Grapes are the pride and joy of this place. Jufeng grapes (巨峰葡萄), also known as Kyoho grapes, grow here from June to August and from October to December. Their dark-purple, thick, chewy skin, and sweet and sour flavor is “more-ish” and memorable. Xinfeng Farm is proud of its grapes and actually encourages its customers to try the grapes before they buy. But it is not just grapes that Xinfeng farm grows. Peaches grow here from April to May, and tangerines and oranges grow during November and December. Loquats can be picked here from February to April, but because of the high skill required, only by the staff. Try the loquat jam anyway, especially if you have aspiration problems, as it is thought to be of great medicinal value. After a long day picking and eating fruit here, you can always stay in the clean and inexpensive accommodation provided on the farm. We recommend choosing a sunny day to pick fruit with your family. This is truly the place to come if you’re hungry for a bite of nature!
