No.36, Ln. 82, Dazhong S. St., West Dist., Taichung City 403, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
The spaciousness of restaurants in Taipei and Taichung feels fundamentally different. Due to its high housing prices and population density, it is generally difficult to find a restaurant with a large interior space in Taipei. In Taichung, however, there are more individual houses (tou tian cuo, 透天厝), and coffee houses and brunch cafes renovated from these can be exceptionally stylish. Near the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, you can find many such places. “For Farm Burger - Little Park”, is located in a humble residential community and is famous in central Taiwan. Located in a two-storey low-key house with a tiny signboard outside, the cafe deliberately keeps its original architectural appearance. The age of the building is tangible, featuring old-fashioned iron bars, a low wall with no function, and a roof propped up by timber. Sitting on the 50 year old chairs, enjoying natural yeast bread and sandwiches, and burgers and waffles made with organic vegetables, this is ranked in the top three most delicious restaurants in Taichung. If I have to find fault with it, I would have to say that it opens a little late, meaning that any “early birds” won’t get to savour such a delicious breakfast.
