AM Brunch

There are many cafes and western style restaurants surrounding the CMP Block Museum of Arts and Calligraphy Greenway in Taichung. Among them, there are also plenty of popular brunch restaurants, of which AM Brunch is particularly well-known. Because the restaurant is housed in an old renovated building that sits on a corner, and because of its large floor-to-ceiling windows, the interior is bright and airy, creating a pleasant dining space for customers. The simple photographic or art decorations, as well as small models dotted around the restaurant, make the space seem unpretentious and refreshing.

AM Brunch is open from 6.30am to 2.30pm, which explains its name “AM” very well. The meals here consist primarily of sandwiches and panini. Of the drinks on offer, coffee is the star. But the most recommended menu item is sweet potato porridge (透早地瓜粥), but be warned that if you arrive too late, it will already be sold out! The restaurant’s business is very good, so it is best to avoid noontime or holidays if you are after a quiet, relaxed breakfast. Otherwise, come early in the morning when they have just opened to have a taste of great Taiwanese cuisine.
