People go to Houbihu for seafood or scuba diving. But occasionally you see a nine-seater van carrying photographers and soon-to-be-married couples—the bride-to-be in her white wedding gown—near the area. They come here for a rarely frequented secret beach that is known as Star Sand Beach by the locals. The beach derives the romantic name from the star-shaped shells as tiny as fine sands. However, after nearby B&Bs and their customers spread the word about the beach, as well as its exposure on the Internet, the beach is now welcoming more visitors than before. As each visitor takes away a little bit star sand, it's definitely a pity that the beach is losing its original appearance.
