Azhu Noodle

To get to Jiufen, most people take the train to Ruifang and then change to the bus. But if you do not like to hunt for food on the crowded Jiufen Old Street, or you want to finish your lunch first before going up strolling in the mountains, there are some affordable traditional cuisine around Ruifang Train Station. Azhu Noodle is just a three minute walk from the station. Although it's not a big place and has humble exterior and limited options, dishes offered in the noodle shop are almost all delicious. The signature dish is the abundant seafood noodles, while the must-order specialty in winter is the milkfish soup. And the most unique dish is undoubtedly the garlic rice. A thick layer of chopped garlic spreading on a small bowl of rice with sauce on the top makes an unforgettable flavor. Leaving the shop after paying, you still have the rich garlic fragrance lingering on your mouth.
