Sky Biking Path

The sheer popularity of cycling in recent years has given birth to many cycle paths all around the island, and the most stunning and highest one is located in Miaoli — Sky Biking Trail. Originally named as Tongluo Jiuhu Mountain Skywalk, this 8-kilometer-long skyway was built along the ridge of Jiuhua Mountain and surrounds Jiuhu Mesa. During the ride, you’ll encounter Daxingshan Temple, usually crowded with worshippers on weekends, so be sure to watch out for traffic when passing through the section. Another section of the trail is combined with the industrial road, so cyclists will be able to inhale the fresh aroma floating from the tea farm located on the roadside.

While celebrating the joy of cycling, you’ll delight the senses with an adventure that combines nature and exploration. In May, the trail is literally drenched in white tung flowers, giving a romantic touch to the ride, while the beauty of Pot Mum (Chrysanthemum, or chrysanth) will leave you speechless in November.
