Zhuoye Cottage

Located in the Sanyi Township of Miaoli, Zhuoye Cottage is nothing close to a shabby, badly rundown shack. Instead, it is a fancy villa-like guesthouse renovated from an old barn in the lush, rustic and relaxing setting.

The guesthouse is cool in summer while warm in winter, making it a pleasant place to spend a night or two. The vintage feel carries through indoors, where you'll find wood furniture teamed with indigo-dyed lampshades and ceiling décor. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available on a self-service system. Be prepared for a no-choice vegetarian menu: a hot pot loaded with veggies of your choice and a few other creative dishes of the day. Basing your food world around fresh ingredients will make you feel good inside out. The restaurant is open for non-residents and guests alike, so even if you are not spending a night here, don’t miss out on their hearty healthy meal, especially for hungry vegetarians out there. Some hands-on experiences such as indigo dyeing are also available to keep you entertained during the stay.
