Northern Miaoli Art Center

The Northern Miaoli Art Center, located at 206 Park Road, Zhunan Township, is a versatile and modern performance venue featuring five floors of exhibition space and two levels of underground facilities. This center is renowned for its diverse amenities, including a main performance hall, an experimental theater, and an audiovisual center, all designed to accommodate various artistic needs and event arrangements.

The performance hall can seat 1,086 spectators, with its specially designed upper and lower levels ensuring that every audience member enjoys an excellent visual experience. Additionally, the facilities cater to accessibility requirements by providing elevators and designated seating for individuals with disabilities. The experimental theater operates in a "black box" configuration, offering a flexible performance space suitable for smaller shows and creative demonstrations. The audiovisual center is designed to support a range of conferences, lectures, and educational courses, with multifunctional sound and projection equipment meeting diverse needs.

Notably, the artist-in-residence studio offers an excellent space for artistic creation, encouraging local artists to pursue their work. The center hosts hundreds of performances each year, showcasing music, dance, and theater, reflecting a rich diversity of cultural arts.

The establishment of the Northern Miaoli Art Center is part of the local government's efforts to enhance cultural literacy and foster an artistic atmosphere, integrating the cultural resources of the Northern Miaoli living circle. Since its transformation into a local administrative corporation in 2019, it has become the first cultural and artistic administrative entity in non-metropolitan areas of Taiwan, further strengthening its important role in local cultural development.

The autumn arts festival, which begins in October and lasts for 79 days, showcases a variety of performances and cultural events.
