But Gin Chan is a little bit different. It is located among rice fields in Lukang. In harvest seasons, you can sit outside of the elegant cafe, feel the breeze, see the field, and drink a cup of coffee.
Gin Chan coffee bean’s roasting house has been roasting coffee beans since the 1980’s. The business was successful with the growing fashion of making coffee on your own in Taiwan. After the millennium, the owner decided to build a house in Baroque style in the countryside to provide a leisure space for coffee lovers to go to and the roasting house finally opened to business in 2012. This place is literally in the middle of rice fields. With only one road leading to the house, we suggest you to come before 11:00 on the weekends, or there is a high chance you cannot get in. The hall exhibits instruments for hand-made coffee like grinders, timers, and dripping instruments. There are many detailed designs in the house so beautiful that many newly weds come here to take wedding photos. So, walk up the mansion, order your cup of coffee, take some dessert, and have your set with the beautiful house and picturesque view of countryside.
