Taiwan Buffalo Beef Noodle

On your way to National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, there’s one beef noodle house not to be missed. As one of the largest chains in the south, Taiwan Buffalo Beef Noodle covers an area of 3,967m2 and sells 1,600 bowls of beef noodles per day. On the menu, you will find beef rice and noodles, pork chops and knuckles rice and noodles, as well as some side dishes. They use the tender meat cut from the chuck section and have it stewed in the traditional stove to keep the original flavor of the succulent beef. The broth is rich and aromatic, but the price is not so sweet.

The founder of the eatery used to live in poverty. In order to put his four daughters through college, he opened up this noodle house, from humble beginnings as a street stall to a major chain in southern Taiwan. Four of his daughters all successfully graduated from college, which was a real big deal at the time.

This is also a perfect stopover on your way to Kenting, where you can stretch your legs a bit and possibly have a warm bowl of beef noodles to feed your hungry tummy nice and full.
