Tianliao Moon World

Tianliao Moon World (田寮月世界), a world-famous badland landscape, has unexpectedly appeared in Kaohsiung, Taiwan! Over the years, erosion from rain and river water has deposited sediment on mudstone, resulting in a badland landscape that closely resembles the surface of the moon. Surrounding this area are more than twenty mud volcanoes of varying sizes, often exhibiting intermittent eruption phenomena. Every year, Tianliao Moon World (田寮月世界) hosts a spectacular event, the ""Hot Air Balloon Festival,"" offering a breathtaking aerial view of the unique badland terrain. Due to the unique natural features of this area, the government has established the ""Moon World Landscape Park,"" which includes observation decks, a sky ladder wooden walkway (currently closed), a pavilion by the ecological lake, and a parking lot. In addition, a geological and ecological interpretation center has been set up in the forest to provide the public with a deeper understanding of the mudstone geological ecology. Nearby attractions include Gangshan Skywalk, Stone Temple, and Oh Yeah Villa, with transportation mainly facilitated by self-driving or chartered tours for convenience.
