Qishan Confucius Temple

In the past, Confucius temples were essential event venue among all cities in Taiwan. Although the number of their worshiper was lesser than local Cheunghuang temples (城隍廟) and Guangying temples (觀音廟), they usually were the most majestic in structure. When Kaohsiung County and Kaohsiung City were co-existing, Qishan Confucius Temple is the grandest one among its kind in province. As the temple locates on the hill of Qishan, which allows visitors to have an overlook over the urban area, it is popular amongst both tourists and locals for either leisure during daytime or nightscaping. In holidays, visitors could freely park their car on roadside in the park.
