The slogan of The Pier-2 Art Center clearly defines the character of the area. The buildings were built in 1973. It was deserted after sometime and was revived in 2002 by the government and local artists. They built the area with the goal of introducing art forms of being forefront, experimental, and creative. There are usually a dozen of exhibitions, activities, and festivals going on. Furthermore, there are local art saloons and studios with artists creating on the spots and some are willing to interact with visitors. If you are an indie rock lovers, you find the right place!
