Lingjiaoliao, Pingxi Dist., New Taipei City 226, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
Most of the time, tourist travelling with the train on Pingxi Railway Line visit the attractions along the way. First they visit an abandoned coal factory in Jingtong. Later, mimicking a scene in the movie You Are the Apple of My Eye (那些年，我們一起追的女孩), they release sky lanterns at Pingxi Station—just like the leading male and female roles. Then the tourists play with cats at Houtong and stop at Ruifang, where they go to visit Jiufen Old Street. However, few people will get off when passing Lingjiao Train Station. They have little idea that in a three minute travel from the station, after they pass a deserted bridge pier built for coal delivery, walk along the railway track, and go down the hill, they'll see a forgotten wonderland—Lingjiao Waterfall. People rarely visit here on weekdays, which highlights the quietness of the mysterious place. In the grottos behind, there are even tables and chairs for people to rest. However, since the place has been neglected for so many years, whether the seats are set up by local residents to admire the view conveniently or served as a tiny playground in the past will remain as a mystery.
