Hualien Ziqiang Night Market

Ziqiang Night Market run no more after 30th of November 2015. The alternative is East Gate Night Market, bigger and more organized.

There are two night markets in Hualien City. One is Nanbin Night Market, which is featured with Taiwanese folk games. The other is Ziqiang Night Market, which is featured with Taiwanese food, including spring roll, coffin bread, sea food BBQ, street steak house and Juice shop where you can choose any combination of fruit to make your own juice. In peak season (Jul. to Aug. or every weekend), you have to wait in line at each stand because lots of tourists. Ziqiang Night Market is just ten minutes away from the train station. After a wonderful tour in the daytime in Hualien, you can try some great Taiwanese snacks and take late train back to Taipei City.
