Due to its vicinity to many different schools in the area, Ms. Feng Tasty Noodle is one of the favorites of students on a budget. This eatery serves up good cheap eats from noodles, rice, stir-fries, soup to a diverse variety of braised snacks at very wallet-friendly prices.

Each plate of braised snacks costs only TWD20, including pig’s blood cake, oden and dried bean curd, all nicely braised and soaking up all the goodness from the rich marinade. Cold plates are no doubt appetizing in the scorching hot summer, and there is a wide choice of them available here at Ms. Feng Tasty Noodle: pickled cabbage, pickled turnips and other fresh veggies. Simply sprinkled with a pinch of scallion, sprouts and the aromatic crispy fried shallots, the noodles without soup are the signature dish here. It is unexpectedly seasoned with a bit of vinegar, creating a pleasant surprise in the mouth. The minced pork rice is also not to be missed. Topped with a spoonful of tasty minced pork and sided with bamboo shoots and sauerkraut, this bowl of nostalgic goodness takes many Taiwanese back to their own childhood memories. The economical stir-fries come in a generous serving that will please even the most ravenous appetite, including the braised tofu that gives off a nice fragrance inside out as well as the omelette stuffed with chopped scallions to name a few. Yummilicious and spectacularly inexpensive, Ms. Feng Tasty Noodle will not only satisfy the fussy palates but also nods to the budget-minded patrons.
