Within the World Expo Taiwan Pavilion, there are a number of restaurants to choose from, and if you happen to be craving for some authentic Thai food, Lanna is the place to go. Along with a modern take on the tradition, the menu is based on Thai royal cuisine which can trace its history back to the cosmopolitan palace cuisine of the Lanna Kingdom. The options are endless. If you have no idea where to start with, the most-ordered fifteen items, including shrimp pancakes, steamed sea bass with lemon sauce, hot and sour shrimp soup, red curry chicken and deep-fried sea bass with spicy and sour sauce, are all highlighted on the menu to give you a rough idea about Thai food.
The restaurant can accommodate groups of all with different kinds of venues from open seating area to private dining and banquet rooms. The interiors deeply reflect Thai culture with delicate décors and sculptures in the shape of an elephant. The prices are reasonable, and you may choose to order off the prix fixe menu or à la carte options. Besides the main courses, Thai desserts and drinks such as Thai tea, burburchacha and coconut tapioca pudding are surely not to be missed.
