Harp Bridge

Located at the 82.8 km mark of Provincial Highway No.61, the Harp Bridge is a favorite of many local photography enthusiasts. If you are a fan of Nikon, this bridge might somehow look a bit familiar as the 2012 calendar from Nikon Photo Contest International featured a series of stunning images with one of them taken right here at Harp Bridge. Crossing the provincial highway, the bridge is painted in white which bears a striking resemblance to a gigantic harp. When the sun starts to sink towards the horizon, the bridge will be lit up with its surroundings soaked in soft ambient lights, and crowds of photographers will be spotted geared up all around the bridge to capture such a scene.

Named the most beautiful bridge in Hsinchu, the Harp Bridge is on the bucket list of almost every photography lovers. Three locations are great for shooting some stunning shots: on the bridge, on the stairs and on the walkway. The curves of the bridge and the traffic trails will create a dramatic impression for your photograph, with the golden hued rays of sunset adding a complexity to its sheer beauty. It is no longer a secret spot, but many still flood here to interpret their own versions of Harp Bridge. The best shooting time is at dawn, so why not pay a visit to the nearby bike trail, Xiangshan Wetland and Haishan Fishing Port during the day?
