Beitou Hot Spring

The four hot spring zones developed by Japanese are Beitou and Yangmingshan hot spring in Taipei, Guanziling hot spring in Tainan, and Sichongxi hot spring in Pintung. Beitou Hot Spring is the most famous hot spring zone among the four. This area used to be the land of aborigine tribe, Katagalan, in Taiwan before the Japanese colonization. The hot spring area consists of Thermal Valley, Sulfur Valley, Shuangchong Creek, and Dragon and Phoenix Valley hot springs. The hot springs here are sulfur springs, so they are good for skins and can release respiratory symptoms. The most famous hot spring house is Long Nice Hot Spring (or Taki Hot Spring back then). The history of the hot spring dates back to 1907 and it has been famous for travelers in Taiwan since then. This is also the inexpensive choice for you to enjoy the hot spring here.
