Taipei Expo Park

After the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition, the expo venues were rearranged and made into gardens—that's the origin of Taipei Expo Park. Today, the buildings and scenes are still much the same as those in 2010, and the place under renovation is slated to be the venue for World Design Capital Taipei 2016. As a large park connecting Yuanshan MRT Station and Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Taipei Expo Park holds flower exhibitions from time to time. The park is also decorated in accordance with the season and different themes—Christmas trees and lanterns for the festival, for example. On one side of the park stands the former Zhongshan Soccer Stadium, which was closed and refurbished for the Flora Expo with other venues. Now the previous stadium was incorporated into Taipei Expo Park. Exhibitions take place here on a regular basis, while a host of creative concept shops as well as snack bars have opened here. The creative concept shops include those selling self-branding T-shirts, teaching Saxophone, providing bags and clothes, as well as a Lego-themed cafe. As for the restaurants, there are Shennong Market, Chinese eateries, diners for Taiwanese snacks, a British pub, and an Argentine grill restaurant, which makes the Expo Park a wonderful place to meet friends after noon.
