The driver that accompanied us to Hehuanshan was extremely friendly and approachable. He gave us useful tips such as the places to get delicious urn chicken when we made enquiry. He even willingly tracked with us up to HeHuanShan main peak and shimenshan. He was fit and could climb up the mountain in such a fast pace, thus he could keep up with us (and at times even went ahead of us). We enjoyed the Hehuanshan hiking tour.

Our driver to Miaoli Mr Sun was very chatty, which we didn't mind and rather enjoyed. He's very friendly and we could not thank him enough for the extra mile he went to help us find specific souvenirs as well as the bonus place he brought us to on our way to SML. But I have to comment on his driving up to HeHuanShan. Very often he braked and accelerated suddenly especially around the bends, which was a huge discomfort for us. I myself felt nauseous even after popping 3 separate motion sickness pills from Taichung all the way up to HeHuanShan. Although I do have a tendency for getting motion sickness, i must say I did not feel any discomfort at all on the same journey up to HeHuanShan on another driver's car the next day. It could be due to adjustment to high altitude, but I still would suggest for a more suitable driver for HeHuanShan/cingjing tour. Thank you for bearing with my constant change of plans begore the trip. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the online interactions and by the tours.

Will was an awesome guide! He organised everything so that it was suited to us and what we like (and the weather). We had a great time and we'll definitely use roundTAIWANround next time we come to Taiwan! Thanks a lot!

I booked a 2 day trip to He Huan Shan and a 1 day trip to Sun Moon Lake (April 6/7 He Huan Shan, April 8 Sun Moon Lake) and was assigned to Mr Clock Wang. The trip to Sun Moon Lake with clock was very much shortened. This was due to the bad weather at He Huan Shan. We decided to climb some other peak on last day when we are suppose to be going to Sun Moon Lake. It is a decision made among my friends and I and Clock was professional enough to re-tweak the schedule to accommodate us. We expected more from the HeHuanShan trip. But due to unforeseen weather conditions, it was a major disappointment that we didn't manage to make it for the sun rise view or sun set view or even star grazing during the night. Clock was quick enough to re plan our schedule to visit the Cing Jing farm instead. Clock was professional through out the trip and shown much initiative to help us take pictures! Over all it was a good experience with RoundTaiwanRound. The bad weather condition was out of either of our control :) Thank you.

about Hehuanshan - A Hiking Adventure for All Abilities

Home to Northeast Asia's tallest summit, and with more than 240 peaks soaring over 3,000 meters, Taiwan is truly a hiker's paradise. That pretty much explains why you should follow our professional tour guide to hike the majestic Hehuanshan, sitting high above the surrounding landscape in the center of Taiwan. Among the island’s many other tall mountains, Hehuanshan is one of the most accessible and still offers the greatest variety of attractions.

In the morning, our guide will come pick you up either from the city of Taichung or Cingjing Farm, and by noontime, you will reach Hehuan Wuling at the height of 3,275 meters, the highest point in the Taiwanese highway system. After lunch, you will make your way to Shimenshan, the easiest one to climb listed on the 100 Mountains of Taiwan (all over 3000 meters above sea level). Finally, Hehuan Main Peak will be within sight to congratulate you on your achievement of conquering one of the 100 Mountains of Taiwan! The sight of azaleas blooming serves as a sign that spring is here; you will be standing above a sea of cloud in autumn; the mountain tops will be capped with snow in winter — Hehuan Main Peak is literally a paradise all year round regardless of the season!
