Agenna Shipyard is next to Heping Bridge (和平橋) that connects Keelung and Heping Island (和平島). It is private and abandoned for years, thus unauthorized entry is prohibited. However, some photography enthusiasts decide to sneak in for the ambience of this dilapidated ruin. At the end of 2014, Chris Evans, a Hollywood film star with Captain America as his recent achievement, filmed a game trailer of Call of Duty Online here, revealing this ruin in Keelung to the world. In Japanese Colonial Era, the site was originally adapted as a dock for loading placers. The mined gold and copper from Jinguashi (金瓜石) would be transported here through train route of Shuinandong (水湳洞) and Bachimen (八尺門). Arrived ores would be loaded on ship for Japan. After KMT (Chinese Nationalist Party) retreated to Taiwan from Mainland China, Taiwan Metal Mining Corp (台金公司) determined to end its service of placer transportation and lent the unused site to Agenna Shipyard, an American-funded company which focused on yacht manufacturing. The company had provided plenty of career opportunities and attracted shops and restaurants entering the area for a certain period of time. Unfortunately, Agenna failed to sustain its operation and left the market, leaving ruin of the factory site till now.
