Kekou Shandong Pork Pie

A humble street stall in Hualien serves the most succulent pork pies that have been the favorite after-school snack of many local students on their way back home. The reasons behind its growing popularity are the friendly service and of course the yummilicious pies.

There are only two items on the menu: the pie and the soup. With nicely seasoned pork and scallion filling and rivers of hot, flavorful soup, the pies are juicy, crispy and pan-fried to golden perfection. Each costs only TWD12 is served as a satisfying large portion. As for the thick, smooth and translucent soup loaded with meat and shiitake mushrooms, it is also very worth a try and the taste will have you coming back for more.
