Jinhoujia Fried Oyster

Jinhoujia Deep-Fried Oyster is a family-run business, where every member contributes to different aspects of the eatery: the son is in charge of the fresh seafood stir-fries, his wife is responsible for the succulent oyster fritters, his mother makes sure everyone tries her exclusive “oyster pizza”, and last but not least, his father will take customers for a ride in his amphibious vehicle to learn about the marine ecology and oyster farming culture of Wanggong Harbor. This allows you to eat what you pick and to see what you eat.

Wanggong Harbor has an eight-kilometer-long intertidal zone, where a great biodiversity will be exposed to the air at low tide. By being carried on the amphibious vehicle, visitors will have a chance to travel between the muddy intertidal zone and to have a hands-on experience that involves digging clams right on site. After the tour, you bring your fresh catches back to eatery, where the owner will turn them into a specially prepared dish and serve it to your table.
