National Dong Hwa University

National Dong Hwa University is the largest and most beautiful university in Taiwan. The 264 hectares campus is shared by only 11,000 staff and students. This place used to be sugarcane farm and the university was established for balancing the uneven situation of education resources between eastern and western Taiwan. The campus is simply large and picturesque. This is the only university where students can ride or drive in the campus in Taiwan. It takes more than twenty minutes to drive from one end to another. The dialogue between professors and student sometimes focused on whether someone has discovered a lake or hill on the campus and they can go there to have class next time. There are seven colleges now and there is special one focusing on aboriginal studies. It helps protecting and documenting all precious legacy of aborigines.
