Country Mother's

Speaking of brunch restaurants, Country Mother’s is one of the first to open in Hualien. The authentic American dishes such as Eggs Benedict and omelettes were nothing common ten years ago in this lesser exposed part of the island. However, Country Mother’s successfully led the trend for American dining with its deliciously tempting interior in an American country style as well as extensive menu that was very new to the locals. The dishes are inspired by the traditional recipes of the owner’s Canadian grandma. Everything from sauce to bread and main courses is all lovely homemade. The kiln where they bake their own bread is right at the entrance, so you can see that they take their profession — and concerns for the customers — very seriously.

The restaurant boasts an impressive menu serving the mouth-watering dishes, including brunch, omelettes, cheese wraps and pancakes. To please every fussy palate, they all come with seven different kinds of goodies for you to choose, from beef, pork, chicken, bacon to veggies. There’s something for everyone. Eggs Benedict is one of many locals' favorites, consisting of a poached egg, hollandaise sauce and two halves of an English muffin each of which is topped with your choice of meat. Hollandaise sauce and muffins are made fresh in-house. Can one possibly say no to such a perfectly cooked egg yolk slowly oozing down the Eggs Benedict?
