Miramar

The Miramar shopping mall has the largest Ferris wheel in northern Taiwan, which is one of the Taipei landmarks. The view you get on the Ferris wheel is amazing, although the Keelung River is blocked by some residences, there are no problems overlooking Taipei 101. The Miramar shopping mall also has a IMAX movie theater with the largest screens in Taiwan. Even though the tickets are more pricy than all other mainstream theaters in Taipei, the comfort of the seats, the sound systems and the projection effects are top notch and worth the price. As for the shopping mall itself, aside from the international brands and makeups, the food is the key factor. Mongolian barbecue, American beer house, Japanese teppenyaki, Taiwanese dumplings, all the incredible food you can imagine. The best part is you can order a glass of drink or beer, sit under the Ferris wheel, and enjoy the live band music performance on the outdoor terrace. If none of the above is enough for you, there is a Food Republic run by a group of Singaporeans in the Carrefour across the street, where there are more Taiwanese delights for you to choose from.
