Dacun Township, Changhua County 515, Taiwan (R.O.C.)

Located in Dacun Township, Changhua County, the two heart-shaped ponds full of blooming lotus are now a mecca for lovebirds. The surrounding lush rice fields give you a beautiful view that you won’t get anywhere else. This body of water in the shape of the beautiful universal symbol of love is a man-made pond inspired by the Twin Heart Stone Weir on Penghu Islands. Before arriving at the ponds, you will first encounter a pavilion that bears a wooden plaque. Now note this down: the pavilion is the best spot to view and photograph the romantic ponds. But please mind your step. Don’t fall in the ponds as it might ruin all the moments granted by Mother Nature.

Besides the ponds, there are also a significant number of artworks scattered around the village. Sitting on both sides of the roads, these lovely artworks made from red bricks were created by the students from Chienkuo Technology University. Birdlife is abundant here, so these pieces of work were mostly inspired by sketches of birds and of course the shape of the elegant symbol of love and affection — the heart.
