Guanshan

Living in Kenting is interesting. You may enjoy the sunrise and sunset on the sea level in one day. Guanshan is worldly famous for the sunset view. It is chosen to be one of the twelve most beautiful sunset spots by CNN.

It takes a short hike to the mountaintop. Before the sunset, you can enjoy the fish village view in the north, and the Hengchun longitudinal valley plain in the east. The mountaintop is actually in the ocean thirty thousand years ago. The proof is that there is a small temple made by coral stone here. It worships Tu Di Gong, God of Earth, which you may find everywhere you go in Taiwan. There is also a turtle like stone here. Legend has it that it flew here from Philippine hundreds of years ago. The true is that it is caused by different degree of erosion on layers of the rock on the ground.

Just pick a nice spot and relax. Wait for the magnificent show created by mother nature.
