Xiuguluan River is the largest river in eastern Taiwan and it is the only river that cut through the coastal mountain range. The most famous activities is river rafting, starting from east Rift Valley Ruishui to east coast Zhonhong Bridge. The rafting distance is 24km in length. There are more than 20 sets of rapid current in the river course. Normally it take 3-4 hour to complete. - The cost of river rafting is TWD1700 each for powered rafting or TWD1400 each for unpowered rafting , the cost including all safety equipment, transportation to and from Hualien City, and river rafting insurance. People with heart disease (heart disorder or heart attack..etc), chronic disease or pregnancy, please do not attend river rafting.
